So this book was a complete winner for me from start to stop. I take many of this writer's books on my "TO READ" listing only much to my chagrin this was the start 1 I have gotten effectually to reading. And let me tell you I am kicking myself for waiting and so long to requite her a go. This may have been my kickoff, simply it definitely volition NOT be my last.

So this book was a complete winner for me from beginning to terminate. I have many of this writer's books on my "TO READ" list but much to my chagrin this was the first one I have gotten around to reading. And let me tell you lot I am kicking myself for waiting and then long to give her a go. This may have been my first, merely it definitely will Non exist my concluding.
So deets...starting time I want to step a lilliputian onto my soapbox (or maybe just a small pace stool), only this book proved to me that you Tin can write an intelligent and engaging story without a bunch of OW drama. Without a manwhore hero. Without bashing the reader over the head with the hero'due south sexual by. What a refreshing change of pace this book was in the country of uber manwhores. OK, stepping back downward and continuing on. Every bit I said above this was fantastically well written and paced. The plot was engaging and kept me turning the pages. I am a sucker for a good lawyer book. Have those lawyers in the courtroom, and you have me riveted. As yous could already gauge from my above comments, there was Zilch ow/om drama. Very little angst. The sexual practice scenes were hot. The secondary characters were intriguing. I am definitely looking forwards to reading more about those Walker brothers, AND I hope that Cat's brothers go their own books as well.
Both chief characters were extremely likable. The banter betwixt these ii was perfect. It was humorous. It was intelligent. Like witty foreplay and I loved every infinitesimal of it. Reese was a perfect hero. Big-headed but sweet. Sexy as hell. All information technology took was one piffling blonde firecracker to call him on his manners, and he was down for the count. True cat was equally charming. Smart. Big hearted. Peppery. A trivial weary at first because of her past but she never allow that get in the way of her feelings for Reese. PERFECT. These ii were merely utter perfection. Lastly, it was all wrapped up in a lovely ending that will leave with a huge smile on your face up. 2 HUGE thumbs upward from yours truly.

I struggled to get into ths at first and then the catastrophe felt cramped and besides abrupt. Otherwise -- I enjoyed their dialogue and connection, I liked their chemistry, I actually liked the case aspect and them working together, and I thought the conflict was believable. I just needed some time between the conflict and the HEA! Why couldn't nosotros get some quality time with them and the H's mom maybe? ...Or the mcs making a improve relationship with Gabe? I'm not sure why the author chose to practice this, just information technology but felt too rushed and like she just threw upwards her hands and said HEA and done!
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is True cat and Reese's story. Cat is a not-practicing lawyer that writes a true-crime column for the paper, and she is covering Reese'south high profile case. They run across when Reese cuts in line in front of Cat in a coffe shop and she calls him out on it. They starting time a fun banter with a stiff underlying attraction that has them planning for a ONS when the trial is over. Cat gets more than involved in the case and a ONS is no longer an option every bit stronger feelings start to develop. At that place is some family unit and instance drama and some sexy times...and they get a HEA ending.
POV: This alternated betwixt Cat and Reese's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Not good. The first was a picayune boring, but then it picked up and I was fully engaged. The ending was besides abrupt for my liking and at that place was just too much at the end where it felt crammed in.
Instalove: No, but they practise motion speedily.
H rating: 4 stars. Reese. I liked him. I liked his strong moral compass, and how he was aggressive with his pursuit of the h.
h rating: 4 stars. Cat. I liked her. I liked how she wouldn't let the H get away with being rude, and she was stiff in her demand for independence.
Sadness level: Depression, no tissues needed
Push/Pull: Yes (view spoiler)[ The h pushes away some considering of her baggage. The H is the main pursuer of the relationship. (hide spoiler)]
Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemical science, and scenes -- just not then much information technology takes away from the story.

The manner he owns me correct now."4.5 stars - I've known for quite some time at present that this author tin can write mind bravado and heart pounding stories like nobody's business, and this book just proved that once more. LRJ is an amazing storyteller. She has the uncanny ability to write words that grip your attending every step of the way and to develop potent and compelling characters that draw you in and brand y'all invest in them. And Dirty Rich One Night Stand was no exception. Cat and Reese were perfect together. Loved their banter and I particularly liked the honesty and loyalty they showed each other from the very beginning of their relationship. Overall, I enjoyed this engaging story from the very kickoff page and it left the romance junkie in me well sated. If you lot're looking for a tantalizing, steamy and captivating read most trusting your heart to take a hazard on dearest and fighting for the correct person, then this book is just for you.
...moreI think this is the first book I've read from LRJ that involved an element of suspense that didn't direct affect its characters. While it made for some heady and entertaining reading, it was more than of a side plot to bring Cat and Reese together. The trial and its players may have been the main setting of this story, simply the driving force were the main characters themselves, which I enjoyed immensely. Getting to see characters from past books, such as the Walker security men, was a pleasant bonus.
You can tell a lot nearly someone based on their interactions with other people. Granted, when reading and getting to know the characters in a book, we find out more than of who they are through their introspection, I e'er look for who they are around someone else. And I loved who True cat and Reese were when they were effectually each other. From their witty banter to their instant connection to their peppery chemistry, information technology seemed that nothing was off-limits in the author'south goal to have the reader sympathise the true hearts of her characters. And I for one feel that through every push button-and-pull, every gauntlet thrown, and through every challenge met, I actually got to know these people. And so much and then that I was rooting for them and their happy ending from the 13% marking, which rarely happens! Whether y'all're a dice-hard LRJ fan similar myself or a newbie, Dirty Rich One Night Stand is not a book y'all'll want to miss.

Muddy Rich Ane Night Stand was a well-written, interesting story. Lisa Renee Jones ever intrigues me, always draws me into a story and never, ever disappointed me with her storytelling abilities. She hit a home run with this book.
I am not certain where to really start with this book. Exercise I start with Cat, a strong-willed woman who has a mind of her own, speaks her mind and goes later on what she wants? Or, practise I first with Reese, the arrogant, rich, take-what-he-wants human? They were both compelling characters that could stand toe-to-toe in any statement and hold their ain against others as well every bit each other. To read most a adult female who owns who she is and the man that accepts her every bit she is was truly refreshing. I can't say that either 1 of them had the upper hand in the relationship which made this extremely fascinating.
I tin't recollect the last fourth dimension I read a volume that held my interest to the indicate that I read information technology in 1 day. But, Lisa Renee Jones' storytelling and characters did that to me. I could non put it downwardly. I wasn't sure who was going to have the upper-hand from affiliate to chapter. I wasn't sure where or how they would get to a happily-ever-afterwards with what was against them. I loved the intrigue, the courtroom scenes, the coffee shop. And, LRJ is the queen of writing enticing, erotic scenes that pull the story together.
As yous tin can tell, I am letting the blurb speak for itself. No synopsis of the story. Why? It's very hard to put into words the human relationship Cat and Reese had, what brought them together, what they were dealing with in their personal and public lives. A reporter/author and an attorney are non your usual couple merely, they made it piece of work and become a power couple that take on an unexpected opponent and win.
I really relish Lisa Renee Jones and the manner she writes romantic suspense. She's clear and knows how to captivate her audience. Dingy Rich One Night Stand may exist a standalone but she has a mode of bringing in other characters from other series and does a wonderful job at tying them all together. She just knows how to write a story and entice y'all into her earth.

Reese is defending a man accused of murdering a significant woman. Cat is post-obit the trial for her paper articles and potential book. Reese lets her in and they piece of work together and discuss this case which made for a cracking way to sentry these two characters connect.
There was some family drama thrown in on both sides to continue things interesting and too to introduce us to future volume heroes. Nosotros also get to see the Walker brothers and their women from the Walker Securities series.
I'm looking forrad to their novella that's coming up.

The background story with the court instance made this one a goodie for me. I think I was more engrossed in the court example than the actual romance between Cat and Reese. This one isn't a five star for me simply considering of the constant questioning the heroine was doing and the insta dearest that sort of came out of nowhere. For a high powered attorney, I recall I was expecting more than of a hero with a hard outer beat out, only Reese turned out to exist really sweetness. I know not all men are assholes, but I was expecting more from my hero.
This was a nice read that will go along you turning the pages. Fifty-fifty though it's a standalone, if you've read the other books by LRJ then it'll exist more enjoyable for you lot since a lot of her previous characters evidence upward. I definitely recommend this ane, especially if you're a fan of LRJ and romantic suspense.

Reese Summertime doesn't do feelings, but when the beautiful blonde tugged on his arm that first solar day he knew he had to accept her in any way he could. Reporter or not, there's something at that place, and he accepts the challenge to get more than her job and more than than just one dark.
"He irritates me, and the merely way you deal with a human like him is naked for ane night, which you cease with a pretty piffling orgasmic farewell, and that is all."
Lisa Renee Jones hit information technology out of the ball park with Dingy Rich I Night Stand, this book was Incommunicable to put down. I loved the sassy heroine and was head over heels for not-quite-alpha Reese. They're the kind of duo that is just meant to be, there'south no denying it from the moment they meet. Similar always, LRJ brings the book to life, I could picture the courtroom and coffee shop and physically feel the chemistry flowing between True cat and Reese. It's not all serious lawyer hash out coffees though, Cat is mouthy and has an mental attitude; her office as reporter makes everything a bit muddled when Reese, a hot shot attorney, finds himself lusting after her. On top of that, LRJ actually writes about the trial and in that location's a reason why I'chiliad a fan of her for that, I beloved true crime. I was only as invested in the case equally I was in True cat and Reese's thing.
""Situation. There's a way to describe what'due south happening between me and that man."
I loved this volume, Then MUCH, it is by far my favorite standalone from LRJ even with it's length. That's right, Dirty Rich One Night Stand is a long book, 20% in and I hadn't gotten to the real meat of the story, but it's worth the time, I promise. There are a lot of layers to the characters and there is even more than dialogue between them to go through those layers, but it does brand the sex scenes hotter and more meaningful. Nosotros besides go glimpses of the Walker gang, which is heady for readers who recognize them and poses simply a couple problems for those who haven't had a chance to just notwithstanding. At that place are references to Royce Walker'southward story with his married woman, Lauren, but they are pocket-size and easy to look over if readers have nevertheless to read Deep Under. Additionally, don't let the title fool you, the ane night stand up these ii share is a flake naughty and a lot rich, but the book is not every bit cheap every bit the title suggests.
"Delight. And I repeat-please to everything."
Muddy Rich I Nighttime Stand up reads like a game of true cat and mouse, plumbing equipment with the heroine's proper name perfectly. Cat and Reese are similar in and then many means, merely neither encounter those similarities at commencement. Like most insta-love stories, Cat and Reese have an attraction that makes everything effectually them disappear, except LRJ finds a way to continue the story moving and in a way that isn't equally insta-honey as you might expect. True cat'south a runner, Reese is new to the chase, and the feelings between them aren't recognized for what they are until the very stop. I really enjoyed the law-breaking and lawyer portions of this novel, LRJ knows how to write true business organisation savvy romance with just the right amount of detail and suspense. Ultimately, we all want that happily always after and Lisa Renee Jones delivers with a bang.

This is a very confusing title. I hateful, while both are rich, neither is so rich y'all could call it "muddied rich". And nobody has a ane dark stand. Yeah, Cat has a "ane and done" thing, merely Reese pretty much drives right over that intention from the outset. And so the title is stupid, but yous tin can tell from my rating that the rest savage into place. The story/plot is acceptable. Courtroom drama drives much of the not-romantic plot and it works okay if you lot don't know much most actual laws and stuff. That might sound harsher than it is so I'll qualify. The terminology sounded about correct and the broad strokes are probably shut enough. The prosecutor was an incompetent idiot, though, and a lot of details are of the tell diversity that comfortably elides over needing details. Information technology'd probably fail harder for an bodily attorney but as someone simply attorney-adjacent who doesn't care very much it was close enough. The reason it's merely "acceptable" is because late-story developments depend heavily on lawyerly things that are, at a minimum, simplified and the upshot is big enough that it forces a kind of skipping strategy for the storytelling (with weeks going past because things are moving at the speed of the legal arrangement).
But I was in it for the romance and that worked very well, I retrieve. Both protagonists take been love-burned then both are a lilliputian gun-shy. I liked that despite the similarities, they still had singled-out reactions. Reese was much more certain of himself, for case, and thus willing to take the risk of pursuing True cat for a longer term relationship than she thought she wanted. I besides liked how articulate Reese was about communicating what he wanted. He was willing to push, just he was also careful not to overstep. Indeed, the one time he does clearly overstep, he's quick to sincerely apologize. I think I lost my heart to him in that scene, actually. But so full of win, that guy.
So good communication with both learning to take a run a risk and give the other a break when it was needed. So we end with a great relationship that moved faster than either was prepared for but withal concluded up solid enough to accept the impairment dished out by eventual family anarchy.
And so this is going to be a solid four star rating. There'south a lot near the plot that I just took on the author'southward assertion. It was pronounced enough for me to observe that I was employing my brain-switch to take the "might work" interpretive runway (as opposed to the more usual "must work" evaluation). So exist warned if you're going to be a stickler for strict probability and accurateness.
A note about Steamy: There were iii or 4 explicit sex scenes. And they were longish and of the adventurous variety that some authors similar to indulge. So this is edging into the upper reach of my steam tolerance, but only merely.

Neat Lawyer Romance!!!
At first you might call back - ugh - a book about lawyers - at that place will be so much court and lawyer talk ...
But nope. It's not all lawyery. It's a very ambrosial and funny and sexy and exciting romance!
I really enjoyed reading information technology.
Of form the principal affair next to our darlings' new relationship is the offense/trial part. We need to find out if Reese'south customer is guilty - and if not - who is the killer?
But information technology didn't bother me at all. It was a neat story. I wanted to go dorsum to court every day - to see what would happen. I wanted to come across our hot, sexy Reese dorsum in his suit killing the prosecution!
And the relationship part. Adorable.
We don't have the usual manwhore and commitment-phobe guy.
He's really great - so sweet and ugh - I loved Reese!!!!
And Cat - she'southward sweetness too. Sugariness, smart - and scared. It takes a while for her to trust this whole matter with Reese. Just the reader has an amazing time watching them fight for their happily ever later and for the truth in the murder case!
I loved the story - I would've loved it even more with 50 pages less. It was a chip too much hither and there. (The showtime sex scene takes SEVERAL capacity from getting in the door to the forenoon after! Way too much bla bla earlier the actual deed!)
Only I nevertheless really enjoyed reading the book.
Information technology was a actually smart and cute lawyer romance!
I also loved that we got to see the whole Walker gang once more! They're helping with the case and True cat is good friends with one of the wives!
Were there some other tiny things I didn't love-love?
Offset I have to say that I retrieve the championship of the volume is totally weird. It cheapens the story a chip - information technology's merely weird in my opinion. Nothing is dirty and nothing is a one-night stand up and .. hm. Yes, it says that information technology was supposed to exist a dirty one-dark stand, but then why call the book that if it doesn't plow out to be like that - readers, scrolling down amazon might remember in that location'due south no happy end or information technology'due south simply a cheap porn story :/
And I also don't similar the cover - I'chiliad a bit weird nigh information technology when the people on the cover don't match the people in the book and the scene doesn't match either.
And the blurb. It makes the story sound as if we're non in the courtroom anymore because the trial is over - but information technology is And then non over - almost all of the volume is about the trial and the courtroom.
Dirty RICH Ane NIGHT STAND was a very adorable & exciting lawyer/courtroom romance! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Reese - this 1 is MINE!!!☺

...moreI loved the dynamic with this couple forth with a chemistry that is absolutely sizzling. There is no denying they are meant to be together. Other than a bit of internal disharmonize inside Cat, the largest role of the problem was from outside forces making me consider this a relatively low angst read. Secondary characters are for pushing information forwards and actually didn't carrying much of the story with the exception of their families. Simply fifty-fifty those scenes were blank basic. I would like to see more action and less internal musings but despite that issue, I yet enjoyed this one.

But like it ended up getting real weird. And the court room stuff really didn't finish up mattering all that much to the manner the story ended? I don't know. I was a trivial bummed because information technology was and then good so it just wasn't... I fifty-fifty
This was a 5 star book until the last maybe 25%? I liked it then much. I loved the courtroom room aspect of information technology. I don't think I've ever read an erotica where the characters were attorneys and they actually went into the court room. Then that was nice to read something new.Only similar it ended up getting real weird. And the courtroom room stuff really didn't finish up mattering all that much to the fashion the story ended? I don't know. I was a lilliputian bummed because it was so proficient and so it just wasn't... I even told a friend to read this because I liked information technology and so much. That was obviously before shit got weird. Meh. That's all.

Story: I really enjoyed this story. Law is very interesting especially since I am going through a court thing because of a credit card from about 8 years agone. I loved both of these characters, True cat and Reese were great together and separately. When they first appeared in 1 another'south lives, I thought I was really going to dislike Reese. I really ended up liking both characters and rooting for them. Information technology was interesting to run into them argue with each other and hash out their work with i another. I could see that they were both passionate almost the work in different means and that's what drew them together in role. They had conflict in the beginning but information technology was dainty to see each of them permit in that location guards downwardly at different times.
There were certain times when I thought that Cat was going to run when she didn't run to far and I was proud of her. When all the SHIT hit the fan, I wasn't sure if there was anything that would bring them back together. I actually wanted to meet their families come together in some way but it was still so good. I was sad for them when they weren't together. It didn't brand me ugly cry only it was enough with questioning what was going on and how they would come dorsum together.
I wanted to see more drama with Dan and Kelli. With each of their appearances in the volume, it seemed like more would happen at that place. I also wanted to meet Cat become closer with at least Gabe considering it seemed like they were getting somewhere. I like happy endings where everyone's all happy together or semi happy together because that's totally not real life.
One thing that was weird was that every time someone got off the telephone they didn't say bye. They just end the call. At times it says "she hangs up." or "he hangs up." I'm just thinking why. LOL Ya'll are rude. Information technology happened throughout the whole book.
Narration: These are two of my favorite narrators. Erin Mallon, Joe Arden. You can never go wrong. They piece of work so well together and ever bring stories to light. I liked the distribution of each of their perspectives and I liked that it concluded with Cat. For some reason I have a matter virtually it ending with the female perspective.

...moreWhen someone I know suggested this volume I took ane look at the cover and thought near that atrocious title and immediately dismissed it. But in the stop she convinced me to give information technology a try and so at present I am publicly saying I was wrong. But not as wrong every bit that championship. Really the title and cover practice a disservice to Ms. Jones' talents. And even the blurb has some info that does not quite match the story. As an instance the blurb states "He's the prisoner of war
Well that was fashion better than I expected - three.v stars rounded up.When someone I know suggested this volume I took i look at the cover and thought nigh that awful title and immediately dismissed information technology. But in the end she convinced me to requite information technology a try so now I am publicly saying I was wrong. Only not as wrong as that championship. Really the title and cover practice a disservice to Ms. Jones' talents. And even the blurb has some info that does not quite match the story. As an example the blurb states "He's the powerful attorney, at present world-renowned after coming off the trial of a century" merely really the story takes identify during the said trial of the century and a short flow after equally well. Additionally when she happens to come confront to face with him is not after the trial but in fact before the trial.
The volume starts with True cat heading out to get java earlier heading to the courthouse where she is going to exist reporting on the trial. She has a run in with a homo she finds to lacking in manners and he tells her to meet him the next forenoon for coffee. Information technology is only after the trial starts that she discovers he is the lead lawyer for the defence, Reese. She thinks she knows his type and quickly decides that he is only worthy of a one night stand simply that it will have to wait until after the trial ends. Naturally events and their chemistry atomic number 82 them into a unlike relationship than either had planned. There is a off-white amount about the case and too some family matters on both sides. And the end leaves us with a solved case and a HEA for our feisty couple.
The bones plot is not much different than so many other books. What was dissimilar was the dialogue. At that place were no long descriptive paragraphs with dialogue so hidden that one needs to go looking dorsum to find out what the last affair said was. In that location were pages of straight banter back and forth between the couple with absolutely no other exposition. I was able to follow it easily although occasionally I had to stop just to enjoy the word play. I honey it when an author thinks their audition can pick up on things. There was descriptive sex just it was not overly graphic. No pulsing channels. It was role of the story and non so much equally to start bothering me. There were a few inconsistencies which make me a itchy simply they were pretty pocket-size. It was dual POV simply felt similar it was more often than not from Cat'southward perspective although I did not count chapters to exist sure.
I matter I did not similar was the names chosen. I don't like similar sounding names or ones that share starting and/or catastrophe consonants. This one had Royce Walker every bit a side character. (I have non read the series he is from merely it became quite obvious this was an existing grapheme) Reese and Royce are besides shut in sound for me. In that location was also a Nelson and a Nathan although that was super minor then did not bear on my reading pleasure like Reeese/Royce did. There are so many names out there I don't understand why authors can't stay away from this. (oddly this is the 3rd volume I have reviewed this calendar week with a character named Reese) Notwithstanding this is a modest effect and the quality of the dialogue made this an author I will expect for again.
